Tanker Breaks Apart, Spilling Tons of Oil

A Greek oil tanker, grounded off Pakistan’s port city of Karachi, has broken in two, leaking thousands of tons of crude oil and killing wildlife, officials said. Karachi’s two main beaches were littered with dead fish and sea turtles, most of them covered in a thick coat of oil.
Officials said about 12,000 tons of crude have spilled into the sea.
