L.A. County prices reach a new high

The median home price in Los Angeles County hit a new high of $328,000 in July, up 5% from June and more than 23% above last year, DataQuick Information Systems reported.
Sales of homes and condominiums jumped nearly 10%, the second largest monthly count on record.
