Kidnapping Suspect Held on $5-Million Bail

The man charged in the kidnapping of a college student was ordered held on $5-million bail after his lawyer said he wanted to stay behind bars for his own safety.
Law officers in two states continued the search for 22-year-old Dru Sjodin, missing since she left work at a Grand Forks mall on Nov. 22. Police have said they believed Alfonso Rodriguez Jr., 50, was in the parking lot that night.
