Turner Broadcasting System has signed a deal to provide short films to Regal Entertainment Group’s Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards movie theaters.
Atlanta-based TBS is expected to tap its extensive library, which includes Turner Network Television, the Cartoon Network and Turner Classic Movies, to provide three-minute programs before featured films.
The first shorts, beginning next month, will include Cartoon Network pieces and National Basketball Assn. footage to highlight the NBA’s upcoming All-Star game.
