Airliner Carrying 46 Missing in Mountains

A Peruvian airliner carrying 46 people, including eight children, disappeared among cloud-covered mountains. Heavy rain hampered the search effort.
The TANS Airline flight was about three minutes from landing in Chachapoyas, 400 miles north of Lima, the capital, when radio contact was lost, an airline spokesman said.
