Re “Library Dedication an Act of the Heart, Maybe Not of Mind,” by Patt Morrison, Jan. 14: I was among the fortunate group who knew Lloyd Monserratt. He was a kind and gentle person, forgetting all the political hoopla written about him. Rather than write a column berating the L.A. City Council for its decision to dedicate the El Sereno branch library to the late Monserratt, Morrison should concentrate on real issues affecting Los Angeles.
