Autopsy on Headless Body Inconclusive

An autopsy performed on the body of a dismembered woman discovered along Ortega Highway offered no clues as to how she died, authorities said Thursday.
Toxicological and microscopic testing of the body’s tissues could offer more information, but those results will not be known for two to four weeks, said Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Jim Amormino.
Sightseers spotted the body Wednesday morning in a ravine east of San Juan Capistrano. The woman had been decapitated and her hands had been cut off. The body parts have not been found.
Investigators have been swamped by calls from the public offering possible leads.
“We’re looking into each and every one,” Amormino said. “So far, nothing has panned out.”
Thursday’s autopsy found indications that the woman had given birth at least once. The victim was described as in her late 20s to early 30s, with red or strawberry blond hair, between 5-feet-8 and 5-feet-10, and weighing 165 pounds to 175 pounds.
