Poem with a point

BRAVO to U.K. Poet Laureate Andrew Motion and his “Causa Belli” four-line poem (“Four-Line Poem Sparks One Big Fuss,” by Mary McNamara and Tim Rutten, Jan. 10). It’s short, to the point and hits the target dead on.
Maybe former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky doesn’t know who “they” are but millions of Americans do. It isn’t hard to recognize the oil company’s puppet in the White House and his Daddy’s old recycled cronies. Oil is the name of the game! Rhyme on, Mr. Motion. Rhyme on.
