Authorities arrested a man Monday suspected of stealing at least $500,000 worth of merchandise and storing it in a Huntington Park warehouse.
The arrest was made by Los Angeles police and county sheriff’s deputies who jointly investigate cargo theft from the region’s ports and tractor-trailers, said Sheriff’s Sgt. Tony Lucia.
The items recovered included refrigerators, shoes, DVDs and electronic equipment, authorities said.
Authorities did not reveal the name of the suspect or whether he worked at the warehouse.
