From One Mother to Another

I too am a mother of an autistic son (“More Than Enough,” by Christina Adams, Metropolis, April 27). Adams’ essay was beautifully written, but the sentence that affected me most was, “To outsiders who know his label, we are unlucky, but in our parallel universe we are among the fortunate.” I have tried to express this thought many times, and Adams did it so clearly and profoundly.
