Suspect in Shooting, Kidnapping Is Sought

Police were searching Wednesday night for a suspect who shot a man and abducted his 2-year-old son from his estranged wife’s home, police said.
Khayri Shakur, 32, took the boy from the home in the 5700 block of Ruthelen Street about 7 p.m., said Officer Jason Lee. The shooting victim was hospitalized in stable condition.
Shakur was believed to be driving a blue 1981 Buick Regal with license plate number 4TWE294.
