Court Nominee Sticks to Views on Gays, Abortion

Alabama Atty. Gen. Bill Pryor stood by his comments against abortion and gays, winning Democratic respect for his candor but criticism for the views they suggested would cloud his rulings as a federal appeals judge.
The Republican-controlled Senate Judiciary Committee is expected to move Pryor’s nomination to Atlanta’s U.S. 11th Circuit Court of Appeals to the Senate floor for a confirmation vote.
