A 26-year-old Los Angeles man remained in Orange County Jail on Saturday on suspicion of trying to hijack two luxury cars at knifepoint, police said.
David Kyung Moon Choo was arrested shortly before midnight on Friday after allegedly accosting two motorists in a parking lot near Jamboree Road and Michelson Drive.
Police said Choo first threatened a 30-year-old man and then a 60-year-old woman, both of Newport Beach.
Both were driving Lexus sedans. They fled in their cars, police said.
