Oprah revives book club

After a 14-month hiatus, Oprah Winfrey revived her influential book club Wednesday, announcing on her syndicated TV series that her new pick was “East of Eden,” a 1952 novel by John Steinbeck.
A new feature of Oprah’s Book Club is that readers can sign up at her Web site, www.oprah.com, to receive information about the book and to participate in online discussion groups.
