Man Arrested in Girl’s Attempted Kidnapping

A 41-year-old Riverside man is in custody on suspicion of trying to kidnap a 12-year-old girl.
The girl was walking to school in the 11900 block of Old River School Road about 7:50 a.m. Monday when a man grabbed her waist and dragged her toward an alley, police said. When he fell, she ran.
Several hours later, a police sergeant noticed that a man walking on Old River School Road and Imperial Highway matched the description of the attacker and arrested him.
John Marble was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
