Tenants Evicted by Tycoon Find Housing

Most of the 570 rental homes owned by Japanese billionaire Gensiro Kawamoto have been sold, but not before the tenants found new homes.
The Tokyo real estate tycoon created a stir last year when he told his lawyers to evict tenants from 420 Sacramento homes and 150 more in Santa Rosa so that he could sell the properties and redirect his investment.
Eventually, Kawamoto relented to public pressure and allowed more time so the tenants could find new homes.
