Yale Strike Ends; Sides Still ‘Light-Years Apart’

Yale University workers ended their five-day strike with a noisy campus parade and warned there could be another walkout if demands are not met.
Talks resume next week, and union spokesman Bill Meyerson said the unions and Yale remain “light-years apart” on wages, pensions and job training.
The strike included an estimated 4,000 clerical and technical workers, graduate students and hospital dietary staff.
