Lawsuit against Oprah dismissed

A federal judge in New York has tossed out the claims of a publisher of a German erotic magazine who accused Oprah Winfrey of jeopardizing his magazine by launching one with a similar name.
Judge John G. Koeltl dismissed the accusations brought by Ronald Brockmeyer, the German publisher of O Magazine, saying there was no evidence of any actual confusion between his publication and O, the Oprah Magazine, published by Hearst Corp. The suit had sought unspecified damages.
