Woman Dies When Truck Strikes Car

A Thousand Oaks woman died Wednesday when the car in which she was riding was struck while making a left turn, authorities said.
Helen M. Flaherty, 83, was pronounced dead at Los Robles Regional Medical Center.
Her husband, William Flaherty, 83, was driving east on Camino Dos Rios in Thousand Oaks at 11 a.m. when he attempted to turn into a parking lot near Hillcrest Drive and his car was hit on the passenger side by an oncoming truck.
William Flaherty was treated at Los Robles for facial injuries.
The driver of the truck, William Gargan, 45, of Thousand Oaks, was not injured.
