EDS Names CBS Veteran as New Chief

Electronic Data Services Corp., hurt by weak demand for computer services and troubled customers such as WorldCom Inc., said Chief Executive Richard Brown had stepped down and would be replaced by Michael Jordan, a former CBS Corp. CEO.

Former Vice Chairman Jeff Heller also left retirement to return as president and chief operating officer, EDS said.

Shares of Plano, Texas-based EDS closed up 6 cents at $15.76 on the New York Stock Exchange.
