ABC, Union Suspend Talks, Extend Contract

Walt Disney Co.’s ABC-TV unit and the National Assn. of Broadcast Employees and Technicians agreed to suspend talks and extend a labor agreement between the two sides because of the war in Iraq.

The current collective bargaining pact covering more than 2,500 broadcast workers nationwide was scheduled to expire March 31. The contract has been extended to May 12.
