District to Adjust Safety Plans for Terrorism

The Los Angeles Unified School District board on Tuesday said local schools are prepared for emergencies, but it directed that plans be modified for possible terrorism.
The district has been developing plans to deal with new concerns such as bio-chemical threats. Tuesday’s motion would allow 45 days to finalize such plans.
