Panel OKs Ban of Nude Massage Therapists

A city committee has voted to close a loophole in laws regulating massage therapists that inadvertently permitted some therapists to work in the nude.
San Diego tightened restrictions on massage-related businesses two years ago but failed to include holistic health practitioners in an ordinance that banned nude massages, said police Lt. Bob Kanaski.
Several holistic practitioners who use nonmedical treatments that can include massage called for new regulations to close the loophole, he said.
