Two Doors invite a third

Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger said Thursday they would still be happy to welcome John Densmore, the other surviving member of the Doors, to join them on tour now that he has lost his initial effort to block the reunion in court.
Drummer Densmore filed suit last February to prevent keyboardist Manzarek, guitarist Krieger and singer Ian Astbury from performing as the Doors, charging that it was a trademark infringement and would undermine the legacy of the original rock group.
L.A. Superior Court Judge Gregory W. Alarcon denied his request for a preliminary injunction this week but said the group must call itself the Doors of the 21st Century.
Densmore could not be reached for comment. The band is due to play again Thursday in Tampa, Fla.
