Dodgers Seem to Be Stuck on Treadmill

When I saw that, after 36 games, Mike Piazza was batting under .300, with four homers and eight RBIs, I realized that his years behind the plate were finally catching up with him. But I had no idea how far gone he was until I heard Piazza was on his way to the elephant boneyard otherwise known as the Los Angeles Dodgers.

At this moment, one quarter of the way through the season, the Dodgers are at .500 (20-20). Nonetheless, after more than two seasons of mediocrity and excuses, Jim Tracy continues on, without a hint of criticism from anyone in the local media, with the exception of T.J. Simers.

At some point, the manager has to bear some responsibility for the dismal performance of his team. In Tracy’s case, I ask: “Where is the outrage?”
