1 Person Killed, Child Hurt in Vehicle Rollover

One person was killed in northern Los Angeles County after a car left the road it was traveling on and overturned near the Kern County line, officials said.
The single-vehicle accident occurred just after 1 p.m. at Lancaster Road and 290th Street West, according to the California Highway Patrol. It was unclear what caused the accident or how many people were in the car, said CHP Officer Vince Ramirez.
An injured child was taken to Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles, but no further details were available, Ramirez said.
