Energy Burn

Re “L.A. Area Bakes for 2nd Day Straight,” March 30: I regularly drive the 405 Freeway between Westchester and Long Beach. During that drive I have noticed that dozens of lights along the freeway are on during daylight hours. Over a year ago I notified Caltrans by e-mail about this waste of energy/money. A few months ago I e-mailed them again, but the lights remain burning, wasting money/energy. I find it ironic that this is the case in light of the state’s fiscal and energy situation. When will we wake up to this waste?
