Busy Summer Forecast for John Wayne Airport

Officials said Thursday they expect to see a continued rise in the number of passengers using John Wayne Airport over the summer travel season.
In May, 761,268 passengers passed through the terminals -- an 8.6% increase from the same time last year. The number of commercial carrier and commuter flights also increased.
The airport recently increased the number of its security checkpoints and added space to some terminal facilities.
