Psychologist Appointed as Acting Chancellor

UC Santa Cruz psychologist and dean Martin M. Chemers has been appointed acting chancellor of the campus.
University of California President Robert C. Dynes announced the appointment Monday, and the UC Board of Regents will vote on it March 18.
A national search to select UC Santa Cruz’s next chancellor will be conducted. Chemers will replace outgoing Chancellor M.R.C. Greenwood, who will become provost and senior vice president of the UC system.
