* Jeff Rodner, Granada Hills: Pitched a five-hitter with two strikeouts and no walks for the Highlanders in a 3-0 nonleague victory at San Fernando. Rodner threw 51 strikes in 58 pitches, and Jordan Gold had two hits and two RBIs.
* Matt Cole, Walnut: Had two hits and the game-winning RBI in the bottom of the eighth inning for the host Mustangs in a 7-6 nonleague victory over Hacienda Heights Los Altos. Cole also pitched one inning of relief for the win.

* Alyssa Freight, Placentia El Dorado: Pitched a three-hitter with three strikeouts and one walk for the No. 25 Golden Hawks in a 2-0 nonleague upset of No. 10 Fullerton Rosary.
* Stephanie Churchwell, Lake Forest El Toro: Hit a solo home run in each game of a nonleague doubleheader as the No. 11 Chargers swept host Fountain Valley, 2-0, 2-1.

* Robert McShane, Malibu: Had 17 digs, 15 kills and six blocks for the host Sharks in a 25-14, 25-18, 25-23 nonleague victory over Santa Monica Crossroads.
