One former Qwest Communications International Inc. executive will plead guilty to accounting fraud charges and another will be retried, government lawyers told a judge.
The former mid-level executives were charged with conspiring to boost Qwest revenue by more than $33 million from a deal to wire Arizona schools to the Internet.
Grant Graham, former chief financial officer for global business units, and federal prosecutors have reached a “disposition,” Graham’s attorney Daniel Sears said in a filing with the court.
The case against Tom Hall, a former senior vice president, is expected to be cut from the 11 counts. Hall’s retrial is set for July 7.
