An off-duty Orange County sheriff’s deputy found the body of a man lying face-down in the Santa Ana River on Wednesday, but there was no immediate indication of foul play, authorities said. “It appears it’s not going to be a homicide,” said sheriff’s spokesman Jim Amormino.
The body, which has not been identified, was found shortly before noon near Glassell Street and Lincoln Avenue in Orange, said sheriff’s Lt. Larry Abbott.
An autopsy will be conducted, officials said.
