Man Fatally Shot in Front of His Home

A 32-year-old man was killed Monday in front of his home in an apparent gang-related shooting, police said.
Melvin James Sampson was pronounced dead at Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center after the 12:20 p.m. shooting in the 5200 block of South Wilton Place, said Police Sgt. Juan Gonzalez.
Sampson was chased into his home before being shot, Gonzalez said. Police said there were no suspects.
