Millionaire Attempts Another Record Flight

Millionaire adventurer Steve Fossett took off from Salina Municipal Airport on his attempt to become the first person to complete a nonstop solo trip around the world in an airplane.
Fossett, 60, the first person to circle the globe solo in a balloon nonstop, hopes to complete the journey in his jet GlobalFlyer in 66 hours. Fossett’s craft consists of a 7-foot-long pressurized, cigar-shaped cabin suspended beneath a single Williams turbofan jet engine.
