Computer tracking of officers’ conduct delayed

A much-delayed computer system to track police officers’ conduct will not be completed next month as promised, Los Angeles Police Department officials said Tuesday. Instead, they said, it will be ready in April.
Police Commission President John Mack expressed concern at the news, adding that the system is “absolutely crucial” to meeting reforms required by a federal consent decree struck after the Rampart Division scandal.
