Redevelopment in East L.A. Approved

County supervisors approved a 171-acre redevelopment project Tuesday in a commercial and industrial area in East Los Angeles.
The Whiteside project, north of the 10 Freeway and west of the 710 Freeway, is designed to reduce blight and attract jobs.
The joint city-county effort will be funded with property taxes over 30 years.
