A memorial celebration for Dorothy Healey, a onetime labor organizer and civil rights activist who was chairwoman of the Southern California district of the Communist Party USA, will be held at 2 p.m. Sept. 24 at the First Unitarian Church of Los Angeles, 2936 W. 8th St. Healey died Aug. 6.
