Kraft CEO Shakes Up Top Management Ranks

Kraft Foods Inc.’s new chief executive, Irene Rosenfeld, shook up top management ranks at the nation’s largest food company, saying the moves would sharpen its focus on innovation and marketing.
Among the several changes, Rick Searer, 53, current North American president of the convenient meals sector, was named president of Kraft North America Commercial. He replaces Dave Johnson, 49, who is leaving the company.
Rosenfeld had said she wouldn’t outline any blueprint for change at Kraft until early 2007. But the personnel actions suggest that she may plan to change the strategy significantly at the company.
