Crosby’s milestone lifts Penguins

Sidney Crosby, 19, became the youngest player in NHL history with two 100-point seasons when he scored a game-tying goal in Pittsburgh on Saturday.
Colby Armstrong scored 1:19 into overtime and the Penguins beat the New York Rangers, 3-2. Crosby had tied the score at 2-2 for his 100th point of the season with 13:04 to play, becoming the youngest player in NHL history with two 100-point seasons.
Tampa Bay 3, Calgary 2 -- Dan Boyle scored with a two-man advantage in overtime at Calgary, Canada.
Chicago 7, Phoenix 5 -- Jeff Hamilton had his second career hat trick and two assists for the Blackhawks at Glendale, Ariz.
Nashville 2, Columbus 1 -- Paul Kariya and David Legwand each had a goal and an assist for the Predators at home.
Montreal 4, St. Louis 3 -- Alexei Kovalev scored with 1:25 left to end a four-game losing streak for the visiting Canadiens.
New York Islanders 5, Washington 2 -- At Uniondale, the host Islanders sent the Capitals to their fifth regulation loss in seven games.
New Jersey 3, Buffalo 2 -- Martin Brodeur made 31 saves for his league-leading 41st victory for the visiting Devils.
Toronto 4, Ottawa 3 -- Darcy Tucker scored 3:11 into overtime for the host Maple Leafs.
Florida 3, Atlanta 2 -- Jay Bouwmeester scored the winner at Sunrise, Fla., to end the Thrashers’ five-game winning streak.
Philadelphia 4, Boston 1 -- Mike Richards scored the tiebreaking goal early in the third period to lead the Flyers at Philadelphia.

Islander Chris Simon met with NHL disciplinarian Colin Campbell in Uniondale, N.Y., but no announcement was made about how long he will be suspended for his two-handed stick attack on Ranger Ryan Hollweg.
