Re “The Scots show their true colors,” Opinion, April 5
As a proud scion of Scottish immigrants, I take exception to Sean Connery’s viewpoint. Scotland has been the crown jewel of the United Kingdom for hundreds of years. The current prime minister of Great Britain is a Scot, and he is by no means the first. The United Kingdom has been one of the greatest nations in world history, and Scotland has done more than its share to make it so. Scotland does not need “independence” from itself. As an integral part of Great Britain, Scotland shines brightly and proudly.
Let us not turn this great nation into another Bosnia.
