Re “Allies of Palestinians see a friend in Obama,” April 10
Kudos to Barack Obama for listening to someone other than a right-wing Zionist regarding the Palestinian-Israeli situation.
The Times fails to mention that scholar Rashid Khalidi is recognized as the most distinguished scholar of Palestinian history. He served as president of the Middle East Studies Assn., the premier organization for professors of Middle East studies. Speaking with and learning from well-informed members of oppressed groups is not a liability unless you advocate oppression.
