at Cal State Fullerton 87, Cal State Bakersfield 64: Josh Akognon matched his career high with 41 points and Gerard Anderson returned from injury to score 15 as the Titans (5-6) defeated the Roadrunners (3-7). Akognon had 21 points in the first half as Fullerton blazed to a 52-25 lead by shooting 74% from the field.

at UC Santa Barbara 81, Loyola Marymount 61: Chris Devine returned from an ankle injury to score a game-high 15 points and lead the Gauchos (5-4) over the Lions (0-9). Devine, who hadn’t played since spraining his ankle Nov. 30, made six of 12 shots and had five rebounds. LaRon Armstead led Loyola with 16 points.

Pacific 73, at Pepperdine 55: Chad Troyer scored a season-high 17 points to lead the Tigers (5-3) over the Waves (1-9). Pacific tied a school record with 16 steals. Keion Bell led Pepperdine with 13 points and Mychel Thompson had 10.

at No. 13 Syracuse 79, Long Beach State 55: Stephan Gilling and T.J. Robinson each scored 12 points, but leading scorer Donovan Morris was held to five as the 49ers (4-5) lost to the Orange (9-0).

WOMEN

at USC 82, Montana State 61: Hailey Dunham scored 13 points to lead the Trojans (5-3) over the Bobcats (4-5).
