Skier killed in resort avalanche

A skier is dead after an avalanche at Utah’s Snowbird resort. A spokeswoman for University Hospital in Salt Lake City said the woman died after being pulled off Mt. Baldy. She was in her 20s.
Searchers initially feared other skiers might have gotten buried. But Sheriff Jim Winder said he was confident the woman was the only victim.
