A few options for ‘space invader’
I can sympathize with Barbara Kennedy’s need to recline when flying due to her spine problem [“Lean on Me,” Letters, Dec. 14].
However, just as she feels that the space she reclines into behind her is space she paid for, I consider the space in front of me up to the back of the fully upright seat in front of me to be space I paid for.
So who’s right? I don’t know.
I think the solution for someone like Kennedy is to either talk with a reservation agent or flight attendant, to try to find a seat without anyone behind her, or to bite the bullet and fly business class.
