Michigan primary: An article in Tuesday’s Section A, about African American voters in Michigan angered by the absence of Sen. Barack Obama’s name on the state’s primary ballot, said the primary would be about a week before the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. King’s birthday was Jan. 15, the same day as the primary; the federal holiday celebrating his birthday is Jan. 21.
