Top of the chart: Dudamel and Phil

Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic topped the June 1 Billboard classical music chart with their Deutsche Grammophon Concerts release of Berlioz’s “Symphonie Fantastique.”
This was the first digital-only release to reach that spot since the trade publication changed its criteria May 25 to allow such recordings chart status, although previous DG Concerts releases have sold enough copies to rank No. 1.
