Allergan to seek eyelash-drug OK

Allergan Inc., maker of the wrinkle remover Botox, said it would ask U.S. regulators by the end of the third quarter to approve a drug for use in stimulating eyelash growth.
The medicine, bimatoprost, is applied directly to the base of the eyelashes and has resulted in “significant eyelash growth” in clinical testing, the Irvine-based company said.
