Anyone shut out of Gustavo Dudamel’s upcoming concerts with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at Walt Disney Concert Hall will be able to tune to KUSC-FM (91.5) for relief. The classical music radio station will broadcast the programs led by the Philharmonic’s music director-designate Sunday and April 6, both beginning at 2 p.m.
This Sunday’s concert will include Esa-Pekka Salonen’s “Insomnia,” Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with soloist Simon Trpceski and Berlioz’s “Symphonie Fantastique.” The April 6 program will feature Debussy’s “Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun,” Bartok’s Violin Concerto No. 2 with soloist Leila Josefowicz and Ravel’s “Daphnis and Chloe.”
Dudamel will become the Philharmonic’s music director in fall 2009.
