EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- With injured quarterback Tony Romo watching from the sidelines, the New York Giants had no problem pummeling the Dallas Cowboys in more ways than one.
Eli Manning threw three touchdown passes for the Giants (7-1), Brandon Jacobs rushed for 117 yards and the Giants’ defense took advantage of Romo’s absence to intercept three passes in a 35-14 victory.
Manning threw touchdown passes to Kevin Boss, Steve Smith and Amani Toomer. The scores by Smith and Toomer were set up by Corey Webster’s interceptions of passes by Brad Johnson, Romo’s replacement for Dallas (5-4).
Jacobs scored on a 12-yard run in the third quarter. Derrick Ward added a 17-yard touchdown run to all but the game in the fourth quarter.
Quoteworthy: “We still have seven games left and we need to go on a run.” -- Bradie James, Cowboys linebacker
