Hurricane death toll rises to 71

Searchers found a body under debris on Goat Island near where Hurricane Ike barreled ashore last month, the Galveston County Medical Examiner’s Office said. The discovery raises Ike’s national death toll to 71. The island is off the Bolivar Peninsula.
